airgas

In 2007, Airgas, with 1,200 locations, was having sign troubles!

Airgas was pleased with the quality and pricing from their national sign vendor. The problem was project management. As Airgas grew, the custom nature of their sign needs and their rapid growth made it difficult for them to have a standard family of signs that met the needs of their far-flung operations.

Unlike a national retail chain, every sign Airgas requires is different in either its size, shape or configuration. The attention to detail required for each sign on every location is enourmous and requires Egan's total management of the job. Egan designed an innovative, cost effective and efficient program to meet the needs of "corporate" buildings, and the remote and sometimes rural buildings run by facility managers.

In the words of Doug Sherman, Airgas Marketing Communications Director, "Egan Sign handled our large and small projects, from vinyl decals on doors to directional signage, and rebranding of stores, large atmospheric gas storage tanks and air separation cold boxes. Our project manager was very thorough preparing recommendations and proposals for every job and executed our requests very quickly and accurately. I recommend Egan Sign to all of our more than 1,200 location managers and anyone in need of a sign vendor."

One of the more unique requirements of the Airgas sign program is the need to coordinate not only on-premise signs but large tank and coldbox graphics. Egan takes total responsibility for making each facility compliant with corporate standards. Egan has been told that this is especially appreciated when the Wall Street Analysts come to one of their facilities for a presentation!
